The site is located in Karacasöğüt, a summer village on the southernmost aegean coast. In close proximity to the site there is also a small marina, which is a favourite destination for amateur sailors.
The terrain of the estate is flat, surrounded by one to two storey private houses. The sea to the north, the site approach from the south and the northwest-southeast orientation of the plot were main drivers for the massing studies of the proposed housing project.
The house comprises two connected blocks, aligned perpendicular to the axis stretching from the main entrance to the northern seaside. The one storey block contains the service functions: Kitchen, dining and a car port, whereas the two storey block contains the four bedrooms. The blocks are connected by a representational space comprising the entrance and the gallery space of the livingroom. It is literally a protected patio funtioning as an internal hub, which connects the open kitchen and the attached terrace with the gallery and the bedrooms.
